The candidate must have passed BDS examinations from recognized Dental College and should have obtained final registration either from the Dental Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra state Dental Council after completion of one year rotating internship training
The candidate undergoing one year rotating internship training and likely to obtain final registration certificate from Dental Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra on or before 15th April, 2013 can also appear for the entrance test
Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate from the Principal/Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of their rotating internship training failing which their application will be treated as incomplete and shall be rejected

Post Graduate Entrance Test for admission to Medical and Dental courses for the academic year 2013-14

The post graduate entrance test-2013 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility for admission of students to PG degree and diploma courses in medical subjects and PG degree and diploma courses in dental subjects in Govt colleges and Govt seats in Private Medical and Dental Colleges and Deemed Universities within the State of Karnataka, in respect of Govt seats for the academic year 2013-14
The seats available in the different colleges in the State of Karnataka have been divided into State Govt seats and management seats
Eligibility: Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the entrance test
He/she is a citizen of India
He/she must have studied and passed the courses leading to the award of MBBS/BDS degrees in colleges recognized by MCI/DCI and Govt of India estd by law and located in Karnataka State; or
Candidate must be of Karnataka origin who has studied MBBS/BDS degrees in colleges outside Karnataka recognized by MCI/DCI and Govt of India and affiliated to any university estd by law in India
He/she has completed or is completing compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30th April of the year in which application for entrance test is called for subject to completion of internship course
A candidate, who is already holding a post graduate degree in any speciality, shall not be eligible to appear for test for admission to any post graduate degree/diploma courses
A candidate who is already holding a post graduate diploma in any subject is eligible to apply for master’s degree in the same subject
Age: Must be less than 45 years of age as on the date of admission to postgraduate course for non In-service candidates

Such candidates shall have to produce permanent registration certificate from any State Medical Council in India within a month from the date of joining
MDS Degree: Every candidate should have passed BDS degree examination of any recognised university and completed compulsory rotatory internship (CRI); and registered his/her name with any one of the State Dental Councils
However, candidates who are presently undergoing internship and who are likely to complete it on or before 31st March, 2013 are also eligible to apply
Such candidates shall have to produce permanent registration certificate from any State Dental Council
Hall Ticket: Hall ticket for the entrance examination will be issued only to the eligible candidates and dispatched to reach the candidates on or before 12th January, 2013, Saturday

MDS Course admission in Tamil Nadu Govt Dental College/Self Financing institutions
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should be citizens of India and should have undergone BDS courses in the State of Tamil Nadu
Candidates of Tamil Nadu Nativity who have completed BDS in other states should furnish a Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority only and supported by a copy of passport/ ration card/voter’s ID/driving license/permanent dental registration certificate
If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application form will be rejected
Candidates who have passed their BDS examinations and completed/completing the CRRI period on or before 31st March, 2013 are eligible to write the entrance examination

However the candidates should possess the permanent dental council registration certificates of the states or of India at the time of counselling for allotment of seats

The candidates who are undergoing CRRI should submit a self declaration that their CRRI will be completed on or before 31st March, 2013
Candidates should possess BDS degree of Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University or of any other university recognized as equivalent to Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University and recognized by the Dental Council of India
Candidates who have qualified from other universities should produce eligibility certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai-600032 at the time of counselling failing which they will not be considered for selection
Duration: The duration of MDS course is three years
Entrance Exam: The entrance examination will be conducted only at Chennai on 27th January, 2013, Sunday, 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
The centre in which the entrance examination is to be written will be given in the hall ticket
Application Form: Applications can only be downloaded from the websites www.tnhealth.org and www.tn.gov.in and the filled application along with necessary enclosures and 3 self addressed envelopes 23x10 cms sent to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 before the last date along with a demand draft for Rs 2000/- which is non refundable towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee payable at Chennai
Applications without the demand draft will not be accepted
The name of the candidate and the name of the course (MDS) should be written on the reverse of the demand draft
SC/SCA/ST candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu are exempted from payment of the cost of the application form
Candidates should send the application with all enclosures in an A4 size cloth lined cover
The template with requisite details available for download should be printed and pasted on the cover
AR Number will be assigned by the selection committee
Candidates can track their applications on the above websites by entering their permanent dental registration number or final year university examination register number and year of 1st appearance
Random number generated by computer will be assigned to each candidate before the dispatch of hall tickets
Eligible candidates who have not received their hall tickets can download their hall tickets from the websites www.tnhealth.org and www.tn.gov.in by entering their AR number allotted by the selection committee and their date of birth and attend the entrance examination
Candidates are requested to paste their photograph on the hall tickets which is to be attested by a Gazetted Officer
The photograph must be an identical copy of the one pasted on the application
Eligible candidates who have not received their call letter for counselling can download their call letters from the websites www.tnhealth.org and www.tn.gov.in by entering their entrance examination number allotted by the selection committee and their date of birth and attend the counseling
Candidates seeking admission to MDS courses should submit the application form with necessary enclosures which should reach the Secretary, Selection Committee, 162, EVR Periyar Salai, Kilpauk, Chennai-600010 on or before 22nd December, 2012, 05.00 p.m.

All Indian Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test (AIPGDET)-2013

MDS Degree: Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Public Health Dentistry, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Oral Medicine and Radiology
Eligibility Criteria: A candidate who passes final BDS examination from a recognized Dental College, and who has obtained final registration either from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing one year compulsory rotatory internship, will be eligible to appear for AIPGDET-2013
Candidate who has not yet completed one year compulsory rotatory internship and is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March, 2013 can appear for the AIPGDET-2013
Candidate who is yet to complete his/her internship should submit a certificate from Principal/Dean Dental College, regarding the likely date of completion of the internship
Candidate who is previously registered and is pursuing or completing the same course
Entrance Test: Post Graduate aspirant will be required to submit prescribed form of the AIPGDET-2013
The eligible candidate is required to attend the AIPGDET-2013 at his/her own cost
The examination medium will be English
AIPGDET-2013 paper will be of one and half hours duration, containing 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ)
Questions will be single best response objective type with four choices
Each correct response will be awarded one mark
There will be no negative marking for wrong answer
Admit Card: The candidate shall fill the relevant information in the admit card and dispatch the same to the university along with his/her entrance test application form
The admit card will be sent by post/courier on the address of the candidate two weeks before the entrance test
In case, the candidate does not receive the admit card or the admit card is lost, he/she should contact the Controller of Examinations (Tel 020-27420156) Office, Pune immediately for the issue of duplicate admit card
Result: The result and the merit list will be displayed on the Vidyapeeth notice board and will also be made available on the Vidyapeeth website www.dpu.edu.in
Results of the individual candidate will not be communicated on telephone or post
There will be no rechecking/revaluation of answer sheets and verification of marks of AIPGDET-2013
Application Form: Application form are available on website http://admissions.dpu.edu.in
Information brochure along with blank application form will be available at the University Office on payment of Rs 1,500/- cash or demand draft in favour of the Registrar, Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, payable at Pune drawn on a nationalized/scheduled bank
If required by post, the candidates will have to send a demand draft of Rs 1,750/-
Candidates should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting clearly and legibly
The examination fee for AIPGDET-2013 is Rs 2,000/- and for late submission is Rs 2,500/- which should be paid at the time of submission of application form in the form of demand draft drawn on a nationalized bank in favour of the Registrar, Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, payable at Pune
The downloaded application form, duly filled in, along with necessary documents and a demand draft of Rs 3,750/- (covering form fee plus test fee plus postage) should reach the university office before the last date of submission of form
The candidate should submit photocopies of the following documents along with the application form; statement of marks of I/II/III/IV BDS examination; attempt certificate; BDS degree/passing certificate; internship completion certificate; registration certificate (DCI/State DC); age and nationality certificate; bonafide certificate from Dean; transfer certificate; migration certificate; proof of date of birth; two recent photographs, taken from same negative, without cap or goggles, taken within last six months, one should be pasted on the application form, duly attested by the Principal/Dean of the College or any Gazetted Officer, the other should be stapled to the application form; demand draft of the requisite amount

The Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)
COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the academic year 2013-2014, for Indian national candidates aspiring to pursue post graduate courses in medicine and dentistry in the State of Karnataka, in Member Institutions of the Consortium (Medical and Dental Colleges)
COMEDK entrance test and publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (single window)

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all requirements stipulated by MCI/DCI
Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their MBBS/BDS from an institution recognized by MCI/ DCI, and must have completed or completing their internship by 30th April, 2013
Every student, selected for admission to the post graduate medical/dental course in any of the medical/ dental institutions in the country, must possess recognized MBBS/BDS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical/Dental Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled
In the case of an Indian national with the recognized degree from Foreign University, the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary/ permanent registration for the duration of the post graduate training restricted to the college/ institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for post graduate studies
Temporary/permanent registration to such candidates shall be subject to the condition that the degree is duly registered in the country where the degree is obtained and is recognized by the corresponding council or concerned authority in India also
The minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2013) for eligibility and admission to post graduate courses shall be 50% for general merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST (All India) and OBC belonging to Karnataka State only
Only candidate’s who are due to complete the internship on or before 30th April, 2013 are eligible
Candidates who have appeared for COMEDK-PGET during the last three years and selected a clinical PG degree seat and got admitted to any of the COMEDK member institutions are not allowed to appear for COMEDK PGET-2013
COMEDK PGET-2013: COMEDK will conduct a separate entrance test for medical and a separate entrance test for dental post graduate courses called COMEDK-PGET-2013, for candidates seeking admission to post graduate courses in medical and dental studies
The entrance test is being conducted for use by COMEDK member Institutions only
The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the post graduate courses in COMEDK member institutions subject to the eligibility as prescribed by MCI/DCI
The COMEDK-PGET-2013 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2013-2014
The COMEDK-PGET-2013 will be conducted only at centers in Bangalore on 03rd February, 2013, Sunday
Test Admission Tickets: Online test admission ticket will be available under applicant login of the COMEDK website from 15th January, 2013
Candidates appearing for COMEDK-PGET-2013 should download and obtain printout of the online test admission ticket (online TAT) for taking the COMEDK-PGET-2013 scheduled to be held on 03rd February, 2013
No test admission ticket will be dispatched either by post or courier or in person to the candidates under any circumstances
Candidates will not be allowed to write the COMEDK-PGET-2013 without the print out of online test admission ticket, date of birth certificate (candidate copy) and an acceptable photo ID proof in original
Application Form: A separate link in the website is provided to assist the candidates in filling the online application form
Demand draft has to be drawn from the nationalized bank in favour of COMEDK (check for the correct spelling), payable at Bangalore (demand draft must be payable at Bangalore only) for Rs 2250/- (Rs two thousand two hundred and fifty only) application number and applicant’s name to be written behind the demand draft
All marks cards (first year to final year university examination marks cards)
Attempt certificate is a statement indicating the number of attempt one has taken to clear a particular subject/year
Ensure that the online application form is filled up properly and completely
After you have filled in your online application form, click on the submit button only once, to send the details to the server
The server will assign you an application number, and provide the facility to view your online application form with the details you have filled, along with the 6 digits application number
Only after verifying the details take a print of the application form and the date of birth certificate
Date of birth certificate/identity proof is an auto generated document which is generated along with the application form
It is printed as date of birth certificate/identity proof (COMEDK copy and candidate copy)
Both the copies need to be duly signed by the candidate
Date of birth certificate (COMEDK copy) has to be sent along with the application form to COMEDK
Date of birth certificate (candidate copy) needs to be retained by the candidate and carried while writing the exam
The completed application form must have the candidate’s signature, impressions of left thumb, left forefinger and left middle finger
Kindly do not send any original documents along with the application form
Kindly stick your recent (not older than six months) passport size colour photograph only in the space provided
Application form with smudged/tampered or hazy photograph will be rejected
Do not staple or pin your photograph to the application form
No attestation is required on the photograph
The completed application form has to reach COMEDK office by speed post or courier on or before 10th January, 2013, Thursday, 05.00 p.m. to the Executive Secretary-COMEDK, #132, 2nd Floor, 11th Main Road, 17th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore-560055, Karnataka
