NATIONAL BOARD DENTAL EXAMINATIONS (NBDE) FOR USA

The foreign trained dentist has the options of joining a dental school in US, graduate and passes the regional test to be licensed and open his private clinic, or foreign trained dentist who passed NBDE & TOEFL can get a job as a dentist through ADA or the State.
The NBDE Part I is a comprehensive examination which is comprised of 400 multiple-choice items evenly distributed across four discipline areas: Anatomic Sciences, Biochemistry-Physiology, Microbiology-Pathology, and Dental Anatomy and Occlusion.
Approximately 20% of the items are grouped in testlets with interdisciplinary focus and clinical application.  The Test Specifications with sample questions, located in the NBDE Part I Guide, list the topic areas in each discipline and the corresponding number of items.

At the Prometric test center, there will be a 15 minute tutorial before the actual examination starts. The exam is in two sessions.
